The Georgian International Film Festival has begun in Batumi; the launch movie was Andrzej Wajda's Katyn, about the slaughter of Polish officers by NKVD during WWII. Head of the jury is Oxford-based director Pawel Pawlikowski (Georgian Daily); also on the panel: writer Zinovy Zinik.
